Alvin Ho: Allergic to Girls, School, and Other Scary Things by Lenore Look


For the reader who likes to LOL, Alvin Ho is here to save the day. Alvin is scared of most things, including Wasabi. He packs his PDK (Personal Disaster Kit) to take to school each day. He has never said one word at school—ever—even though he talks at home. When he gets angry, he cusses in Shakespeare since that is what his father teaches. There are many hilarious scenes, including the chapter entitled “The Best Way to Avoid School” in which the entire class sneaks in to visit their classmate with chicken pox. Reading this book will cheer up the worst of days.

    this book was really funny i thought that it was funny when he was trying to get the chicken pox so he couldn't go to school

    Alvin Ho is a really good book because he dosen't have friends and he thinks to be friends with Pinky he has to be bad and help them cheat but he realizes that he had a friend but he hurt her feelings so he has to apologize.

    this book was funny because he had to sit next to girls.I think that the book was a good book but the end was the best!

    Many a time is Alvin scared, when he can't talk. That is what a good book is. Honest characters, good puns and a good plotline.

    I liked this book because it was funny.I thought that it was kind of gross when Alvin srached Jules back when he had the chkin pox.

    I liked his book a lot cause the main character Alvin has all of these obstakles at home, school everywhere he has to face problems.Also this book was very funny.

    i liked this book because this book was very funny and intersting.He alaways had to have his PdK with him every where he would go in case of an emergancy.

    This book made me really want to laugh. This book would also be good for 2nd graders and up.
    It is fun to just see what happends in his life.

    My favorite part in Alvin Ho was when he was hanging in a tree because his big brother said that would make him taller.

    just from the title he thinks he is allgeric to girl well girls can be mean or bossy sometimes it is a good book you should read it.it is one of my favorite books

    I thought this book was funny because Alvin said girls couldn't punch and a girl punched him in the jaw. I guess he has a lot of trouble in school.
